Application

Passive Auto-Catalytic Recombiner(PAR) is used to protect containment building from hydrogen explosion by eliminating hydrogen that might be generated during Design Basis Accident(DBA) and Beyond Design Basis Accident(BDBA) .

  • Roof with eaves to avoid the inflow from LOCA(Loss Of Coolant Accident) spray.
  • Simplified installation and removal of catalysts without disassembling and reassembling.

  • Outflow guide plate to lower flow resistance.

Function Test

Function test is performed to verify PAR assembly’s hydrogen recombination rate by following sequence.

(1) Catalyst Test
(2) PAR Assembly Test at Atmospheric Condition
(3) PAR Assembly Test at 1.5 bar and 60℃
